Después de un par de días de actualizaciones sospechosas de la cuenta de twitter de Lego Batman, Warner Brothers Interactive ha anunciado oficialmente que los señores de Tale Tales se encuentran trabajando en una nueva entrega de esta franquicia, y que estará disponible en otoño (Septiembre – Noviembre) de este año para el Wii U y 3DS.

En esta oportunidad el caballero de la noche abandonará las calles de ciudad Gótica y se adentrará en el espacio profundo para combatir a los villanos en colaboración con otros héroes de la liga de la justicia. Estos son algunos puntos a destacar:

- La acción se lleva a cabo casi todo el tiempo en el espacio, y se visitarían algunas locaciones famosas del universo DC fuera de la tierra

- Hay secciones de disparos en naves similares a las un juego llamado Resogun que salió el año pasado para PS4

- El enemigo principal es Brainiac pero la acción comienza cuando el Joker y Lex Luthor lanzan un ataque combinado contra la torre de vigilancia de la liga de la justicia

- Nuevos personajes se unen al elenco cada uno con varios trajes, incluyendo el Detective Marciano, Cyborg y Flash

- Se puede cambiar de trajes en cualquier momento, pero hay una restricción relacionada con combustible en el uso de algunos, por ejemplo Robin requiere baterías para su traje de iluminación y Batman combustible para volar en el de Jet

- El demo que se presentó a la prensa ocurría al inicio del juego, donde Batman y Robin debían reunir en la bati-cueva los elementos para construir un cohete y ayudar a defender la torre de vigilancia de la liga

In LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, the Caped Crusader joins forces with the super heroes of the DC Comics Universe and blasts off to outer space to stop the evil Brainiac from destroying Earth. Using the power of the Lantern Rings, Brainiac shrinks worlds to add to his twisted collection of miniature cities from across the universe. Now the greatest super heroes and the most cunning villains must unite and journey to different Lantern Worlds to collect the Lantern Rings and stop Brainiac before it’s too late.

Players will unlock more than 150 unique characters from the DC Comics universe, including members of the Justice League and LEGO big figures such as Killer Croc, Solomon Grundy and many more. Fans of all ages will be able to control their favourite heroes and villains with new gadgets and abilities.
