Los Game Awards es una nueva encarnación de un evento anual que antes era patrocinado por una cadena de televisión norteamericana pero que en esta oportunidad buscó a los grandes de la industria para volverse una producción más sería, similar a los Oscares del cine. Esto a su vez implicó que solo se transmitió por Internet, pero el resultado es una mejora impresionante a eventos anteriores y tiene una buena proyección a futuro.

Los premios entregados cubrieron 16 categorías votadas por los especialistas en la materia, representantes de revistas y publicaciones web encargadas de probar y reseñar títulos de todas las consolas, pero también se crearon 5 galardones para ser votados por los jugadores en temas que hablan un poco más del favoritismo y donde la objetividad puede ser completamente ignorada. Este fue un año para Nintendo que se llevó a casa 4 premios, incluyendo desarrollador del año, es una lastima que Bayonetta 2 no fuera seleccionado como juego del año a pesar de ser elogiado durante su lanzamiento, pero no se pueden ganar todas.

¿Eres como la mayoría de mortales y te quedaste con las ganas de ir al San Diego Comic-Con a ver lo nuevo de Nintendo? Si es así, te tenemos buenas noticias. NoA ha anunciado que los fanáticos que no pudimos asistir al evento, podremos participar de los torneos de Mario Kart 8 que se llevarán a cabo en la convención, lo único que deberemos hacer es escoger un horario de los que se encuentra en la imagen que encabeza esta entrada, luego insertar el código correspondiente al torneo al que queramos ingresar, y ya estamos listos para jugar. Y aunque no habrá una premiación como tal, sin duda será una buena ocasión para hacer presencia latina en un evento oficial organizado por NoA.

Si la ultima semana estuviste bajo una piedra, entonces posiblemente no te enteraste ni participaste de el primer Torneo Oficial LATAM de Mario Kart 8, el cual tuvo como asistentes a miembros de todas las comunidades nintenderas de latinoamerica. El resultado final fue mas que satisfactorio, ya que contamos con la participación de 144 gamers fanaticos de Mario Kart 8, los cuales durante 16 carreras se divirtieron y demostraron que los latinos si acudimos en masa a actividades como esta:

Aunque la competencia fue dura, gracias al “Frantic Mode” hasta los mas novatos pudieron alzar la copa de primer lugar varias veces, sin embargo los grandes ganadores fueron los hermanos de la comunidad de Wii U Miiverse Mexico (MMx) los cuales no solo demostraron tener un alto nivel competitivo sino además grandes dotes para el trabajo en equipo. Hala para ellos, y unas extendidas felicitaciones para todos los participantes, ya que si este evento fue un éxito fue gracias a ustedes.
